On Tuesday in Wisconsin, an election to potentially recall several Republican state senators will take place. The founder of the Tea Party Nation, Judson Phillips, and other conservative leaders appeared in Wisconsin to rally support, and with just a couple of days to go before the election, the rhetoric is quickly getting heated.

Phillips warned his tea party supporters of the threat of liberalism

"I will tell you ladies and gentlemen, I detest and despise everything the left stands for. How anybody can endorse and embrace an ideology that has killed a billion people in the last century is beyond me."

This comes just a day after Phillips compared liberals in Wisconsin to Nazi stormtroopers. Possibly eager to add more fire to the inferno of insults, Vince Schmuki, a leader in the Ozaukee Patriot tea party group, suggested that the effort to recall Republicans by Wisconsin Democrats was like a terrorist attack.

Enough historical revisionism. Let's cut to the future in the Tea Party Time Machine. 802,701 A.D. And who are the Tea Party members? According to Judson Phillips and Vince Schmuki, they would have to be the Eloi: sublimely beautiful creatures, unblemished, innocent, pure of heart — but, alas, of subhuman intelligence, indolent, uncultured, naïve. Liberals? Well, wouldn't you just know it? We're the Morlocks, baby.

Well I beg to differ!

Harry Truman Democrat, dropped 2 atomic weapons on Japan. It is sad to think our country was the first. We are better than that.

1996 the Sudanese had Usama Bin Laden, in custody, and offered him to the United States, Bill Clinton thought it would'nt be politically correct, to take them up on their offer. How many lives were lost! How many billions of dollars, were lost?

How many did Stalin kill?

Teapublicans don't appreciate our constitutional right to change government. The information in the seeded article is another in a series of messages from a parallel teapublican universe. Teapublicans have limitless boundaries when it comes to fearmongering:

Possibly eager to add more fire to the inferno of insults, Vince Schmuki, a leader in the Ozaukee Patriot tea party group, suggested that the effort to recall Republicans by Wisconsin Democrats was like a terrorist attack. "This is ground zero . . . we have been attacked," Schmuki exclaimed.

Terrorist attack? Wisconsin democrats are using lawful activities to address goverment change. Why is using the law considered an act of terrorism? Instead of pronouncing the lawful attempts to change the Wisconsin government as terrorism, teapublicans should re-legislate recall laws the same as they did for voting laws in order to disenfranchise voters.

Terrorist attack? Wisconsin democrats are using lawful activities to address goverment change. Why is using the law considered an act of terrorism?

It is a terrorist attack because the laws are being used to remove them from office. If they hadn't set out so quickly to destroy the state, the people probably would have quietly allowed it to continue.

Now if the shoe were on the other foot and a bunch of progressives were in office employing their powers to create jobs and prosperity for all, they (gop/tp) might well be using the same laws to get rid of the progressives, Democrats and Liberals.

What a pot stirring fracking idiot this guy is. A billion people? Where? When? I'm sure if Democrats or Liberals or Progressives were killing people on that large a scale (or any scale for that matter) it would have been all over the news. If he's referring to Hitler, he's got the wrong side of the political spectrum there. Authoritarians are right, not left.

The teabag party seems to do an awful lot of projecting. Past time to be very wary of the whole lot of them.

    A dying politcal movement?

Don't kid yourself, this thing has plenty of rage, steam and money to do a lot more damage.

I have no problem imaging the tea party, the religious right, under the banner of their whacktarded version of 'god', their politicized jesus machine base (what I call the Republican Party of God) doing a lot more, and a lot worse, before they are done trying to christianize America into whatever the hell kind of non-government, no taxes unless its for guns and jesus, nonsense they are talking about.

Frankly, these people scare the bejeebus outa me.

That much ignorance is one place, politicized, angry, mean, insolent and armed to the teeth, being led to believe they are doing gods work behind people who claim they are choosen or working for god on earth?

That can't be good, there just isn't a shred of sanity in any of it, and that's very very dangerous.

A crowd that is attracted to these kind of speakers, who will follow the likes of Palin, Bachmann, Perry etc etc etc, all of the same clothes, demagogues, liars and rotten frauds, is always dangerous.

You know, the more I think of it, the more surprised I am the war hasn't already started, or maybe it has and I just didn't notice for all this time.

Those people who were vandalizing buildings, breaking windows, cherry bombing toilets and spraying painting walls in the '60s and '70s are now the liberal's that are the leaders of our country. The ones who are trying very hard to destroy our once great country. And the term doesn't mean, Democrat or Republican. Liberals can be found every where and under all kinds of other names.

Liberals can be found every where and under all kinds of other names.

Maybe learn what the word actually means, and understand that cons are ideologically opposite.

Here. Look it up yourself. I've provided the pre-determined link. But here are some of those "other names" you mentioned, you know... synonyms...

unconventional, philanthropic, understanding, humanitarian, enlightened, intelligent, magnanimous

Need More? advanced, avant-garde, broad, broad-minded, catholic, enlightened, flexible, free, general, high-minded, humanistic, humanitarian, indulgent, intelligent, interested, latitudinarian, left, lenient, libertarian, loose, magnanimous, permissive, radical, rational, reasonable, receiving, receptive, reformist, tolerant, unbiased, unbigoted, unconventional, understanding, unorthodox, unprejudiced

Antonyms? conservative, narrow, narrow-minded, and basically the opposite of everything on the synonym list. This would include some such as close-minded, irrational, unreasonable, non-receptive, intolerant, biased, bigoted, prejudiced, and, one of my favorites... unintelligent.

I don't know who hates you but I can tell you that your take on strong military and who is a strong CIC is completely out of right wing talking points and nothing else. Our current CIC and leaders of the military are the ones who actually got Osama bin Laden, actually beat down the Taliban, and have actually pushe Al Queda out of their strongholds. This president has actually signed a meaningful START treaty and taken steps to insure that nuclear weapons don't get in the hands of terrorists, something that the anti-American tea partiers tried to vote down. And, in addition of actually doing the job of taking care of our veterans, are trying to focus our military on doing the job at hand and not spending billions of dollars for cold war error equipment.

It was damaged by fire last October. They plan to re-open. Click here. (There's another in San Jose.)

Why would anyone, liberal or con, want to close it? Or was that question asked just for the chance to use the phrase "liberal thugs"?

Americans are tired of allowing a small group being funded by Corporations and the GOP to take over the dialogue from true freedom and put ideology in it's place.

Taking away the freedoms & rights of American workers to join or form a union or use collective bargaining is not helping America.

This push to destroy our rights & freedoms in order to cut union jobs was the 1st item on the "tea party" agenda. Cutting jobs of any kind isn't helping.

Over one million people signed a petition to put the SB5 "union busting" bill on a voter referendum for repeal, Wisconsin has rallied and has been successful in recalling one or more candidates and the recalls go forward to address the free voice of the American people in Wisconsin.

The "tea party" uses divisive and negative rhetoric hoping to incite hatred, fear and use bullying tactics to deny the voters their chance to change things.

Voters are sorry they put the "tea party" candidates in place that only won by small margins to begin with and the voters want to speak again as it is their right to recall wherever they choose.

People of all poltiical parties have a voice, not just the right wing, not just the "tea party" but Democrats, Independents, liberals, progressives, the Green Party and many others, our country can handle freedom and freedom of the people to choose a Democrat or other party besides the GOP or the GOP funded "tea party" candidates.

Well, it all depends on what you define as "liberal ideology." Nobody can deny that China, the Soviet Union, Cuba and other communist nations have imprisoned and/or exterminated people; history is clear on that. Further, nobody can deny that communism/Marxism is on the "liberal" side of the political scale as we define it...But to compare them to American liberals isn't very honest and is down right disgusting. There is a gray-scale in reality, and nobody in America in the mainstream comes close to those other regimes.

Even though in other threads we have liberals suggesting those they disagree with are "traitors" and "terrorists" that the "FBI should arrest" and treat like the political dissidents in these other regimes...I still like to think that is all just typical "diversity of thought" and "new tone" rhetoric and not literal...Wait...Is that a knock at my door? BRB...

Its much worse than that ..... what he said was:

“I will tell you ladies and gentlemen, I detest and despise everything the left stands for"

Outside the US, whether he likes it or not, on a world stage Democrats are considered Right Wing, Tea Party Ultra Right. On a World Stage Democrats are so far Right of actual Socialists (as opposed to the US use of the "S" word as a swear word), he's included just about the rest of the Planet. Ok in the US, the positioning of the statement is different, he's going for Domestic use .... thats for sure.... but....

The rest of the Planet listening to this idiot include,

          - all the NATO Allies
          - pretty well most of the UN
          - without exception the whole of the International Creditors on the US National Debt List
          - the combined economic blocks of China, Eurozone, Asia yaddie yadda
          - the entire Global Diplomatic Corps
          - the entire International Press Corps
          - hey, pick your grouping .....

Ok some on that list are not exactly on the Christmass Card list of all Americans, but thats hardly the point - dont underestimate the damage factor here ....

Might as well park up Air Force One, because the chances of meaningful dialogue with any Tea Party dominated GOP Government, just became less than the survival chances of a snowflake in Hell.

..... and he's their "Leader" trying to show how good they are for the Country?

Interesting concept he has there ....

By my most recent calculations (and I keep track of these things), liberalism has killed at least 73trillion,246billion, 122million, 899thousand and 227 people...and a dog named Boo. And all in the 20th Century alone! Heck, those liberal bastards haven't even gotten started in the 21st yet. Thank god conservatives and religious people are so anti-war, so pro-humanity, so anti-gun, etc. to balance those libs out (and maybe pick a few off while they're at it). This article is misleading, he said 'the left', not liberal. Tea Party is a liberal platform, it believes in the classic liberal framework this country was founded on. The modern left is anything but liberal. They are not about liberty, but about using force upon people. The deaths from the forced centralization of food in China and Russia caused hundreds of millions to die in each country alone. Last century was a marxist nightmare, where at least half a billion to a billion died do to socialist governments. These governments caused uncalculable environmental damage. The biggest disaster of all time right now in Japan is government caused too. Socialist governments of the past caused far worse but were covered up. As power is returned locally humans will once again be able to build sustainable communities. This next century will be much better then the last if we step up to change the direction of this big government madness.

Do you have any idea what socialism is? Russia and China are countries where the citizens own the companies? I doubt it. Do you even know the main difference between capitalism and socialism is that capitalism is slavery and socialism is a system where the employees are owners of that business?

John, what does that question have to do with my comment? I am talking about the deaths Phillips was refering to. Presumably the mass starvations which happened under Lenin, Stalin, and Mao, also the gulags. All these deaths, including WWI and WWII were caused by overpowerful statist governments. They all called themselves socialist or communist.

Last century was a marxist nightmare, where at least half a billion to a billion died do to socialist governments.

ROFLMAO - even WW2 "only" had an all up total of 60million, chuck in WW1, and you might get 100million. 400million short there ....

This Socialist claptrap from people who have never lived under it, have no idea actually what it is, and chuck out book definitions. On top of that then have the laughable belief that the Democratic Party are "Socialist" - it'd be hysterically funny if it wasnt so sad.

Lets get down to a few nuts and bolts, and deal with Socialism European Style, and reality there are actually not many of those despite street rumour. For those that are it is pretty mild socialism, about as close as you'll ever get on the sliding scale towards "The Centre" without impinging on Socialist principles. Lets see if in your wildest dreams, howsoever induced, you can for the slightest chance, ever envisage the Democrats in the US embracing Public control (ie centralised government direction of policy and operations, including, pay, pensions, the lot, and level of provision) of:

All energy Companies, gas, oil, electric
All means of energy production and distribution
All means of transportation, including Rail, Buses, Ferries, and all ports
All means of Postal Services and Couriers
All steel plants, all mines, their means of production and distribution
All Doctors, Nurses, ancilliary workers and health officials, of any nature
                All Hospitals and related services
All Banks, financial institutions and means of setting fiscal policy at macros and micro level
All water distribution, sewage, and related treatment plants
All roads, bridges, and any form of National Infrastructure
All Telecommunications Companys of any nature, including their infrastructure and service provision

I could keep going on the minor Services, list around another dozen ..... but the point is made. As for the hard left going into Communism, Marxism, Leninism, et al, there's around a dozen forms of Socialism, it gets even worse - which is why hardly anyone plays those games any more, even the Chinese are dumping communism as fast as their Country can stand the change.

To even dream the Democratics will get close to that is ludicrous beyond words. On a world stage the Democrats are at "worst" right of Centre, Republicans are Right Wing and Tea Party Ultra Right. Whilst the reasons for calling Democrats "the left" in the US is understood as all part of the domestic scene. It rediculous, boardering on stupidity to even think the US Democratic Party are "Socialists". Every time that silly allegation is made, and heard outside the US, it causes mirth and disbelief that anyone could even pretend to be serious. Its crazy.

.... and to cap it all, the pieste de resistance

Tea Party is a liberal platform

For crying out loud, if your going to open fire, do some research, not talking points.

The problem with Phillips...well there are many but in this case, is that he sees something he percieves as evil then calls it liberal...there is no connection in his brain to reality, whether its actually liberal or actually even actually evil.

He frequently the psychological trait of "splitting" or strict black and white thinking, never ever any gray area. This is often indicative of several personality disorders namely Borderline Personality disorder and Narcissistic Personality disorder. Both of which he displays other traits of.

I really believe that, in fact, he is a very sick man and he will implode in the very near future. I almost feel sorry for him...almost.

Liberals like the Russian communists and the Nazis ......

The Russian Communists and the Nazis were Liberals ..... ROFLMAO ..... here's a subtle clue, definition of Liberalism:

Liberalism (from the Latin liberalis, "of freedom") is the belief in the importance of liberty and equal rights.[2] Liberals espouse a wide array of views depending on their understanding of these principles, but most liberals support such fundamental ideas as constitutionalism, liberal democracy, free and fair elections, human rights, free trade, and the freedom of religion

That sound like Russian Communists or Nazi National Socialists? Go back and tell Bachmann talking points dont cut it.

                Todd,

Think about the Nazi's, other than the english translation of national socialist, what about them makes you think they are leftists?

The German words for the original nazi party: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei was anything but leftist or liberal. They were a nationalist party (nationalism=right wing) the socialist was simply a misnomer applied to placate the working class and confuse people who often confused them with the Social Democratic Party of Germany (DAP). It is historically accurate to say that the Nazi party had a habit of co-opting words and symbols to meet their own objectives.:

The swastika, used for centuries by Hindu's, Jains, Buddhists even Native Americans.

The term Aryan is a sanskrit word that basically means noble and for much of recorded history was also demonym for Iranian people.

The rune sigel originally represented the sun was re-identified as sig and redefined to mean victory.

To say that hitler or nazis were liberal is nothing more than apocryphic to say the least.

They despised leftist ideology, they were terrified of communism, the opposed individual rights, and democracy.

In the anthem of the nazi party Horst-Wessel-Lied in the first verse:

Comrades shot by Red Front and reactionaries

March in spirit within our ranks.

The Red Front was the common name of the paramilitary wing Communist Party of Germany which was a major oppositional force in th NDSAP rise to power.

Nothing clarifies the Nazi's position on the political spectrum more than quotes from Hitler himself:

"The main plank in the Nationalist Socialist program is to abolish the liberalistic concept of the individual and the Marxist concept of humanity and to substitute for them the folk community, rooted in the soil and bound together by the bond of its common blood."

"When I recognized the Jew as the leader of the Social Democracy, the scales dropped from my eyes."

"Marxism itself systematically plans to hand the world over to the Jews."

"In the economic sphere Communism is analogous to democracy in the political sphere."

"The Western democracy of today is the forerunner of Marxism…"

Sounding like the tea party screamers in Wisconsin are getting desperate.

"Liberals killed a billion people." Great. Another idiotic lie for the poor, pitiful crazy people to glom onto like white on rice and repeat a gazillion times exactly as if they thought of it themselves. And as if it's actually true.

The way they do that never ceases to amaze me.

It's disterbing that people like this exist. Even more disturbing is that they actually have formed a movement. I don't understand how a bunch of what seem to be rednecks, hillbily's and simpletons can find intrest in things they clearly don't understand and then have conviction about them.

It's disturbing the people, would use a source like Moveon.org, or Daily KOs, written by commi's, and liars.

Try the Federal Election Commission Websight, thats the FEC. You can search how much donate, who donated, and politicians, name. Start with Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac, AIG, Exxon, Mobile, big insurance, big law firms, Muslim organizations.

Also download the 911 commission report, try page 110. The Sudan 1996 had Usama Bin Laden, and offer him to the USA, Clinton did nothing. How many lives did that cost us? How much money did we spend, afterward looking for him?

Is'nt the internet wonderful? Also youtube, what the Dems said about WMDs in Iraq, before Bush was in office. Also youtube Saddam using Nerve Gas on the Kurds. Youtube what the democrats, said about Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac, Barney Franks, Meeks, and the list goes on.

We already know, the Democrats have 2/3s of our government, is controlled by the Democrats.

What have they done, but sue Arizona, for protecting our border. They passed legislation, requiring us to by a product, under threat of penalties, and enforced by the IRS, Which by the way, is'nt holding up in court.

The democrats had the house, senate, and oval office and did nothing, to balance the budget. Harry Reid thought lets wait for the newly elected republicans, they can take the heat.

                  We are'nt that stupid! FOOLS

Back to my Tall Iced Tea & Stogey and smoked brisket, and no you libs, can't have any! Eat Mrs. Obama's chinese rice cakes!

You mean like Fox and Newsmax?

Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac, AIG, Exxon, Mobile, big insurance, big law firms, Muslim organizations.

I'm sure you know that all those except the Muslim Orginizations donate heavily to Republicans too. And just like all Christians are not crazy terrorists not all muslims are crazy terroists, but there are some who are and they seem to get all the attention.

The Sudan 1996 had Usama Bin Laden, and offer him to the USA, Clinton did nothing. How many lives did that cost us?

See this one comes from newsmax and is a lie. Check factcheck.org on that one. It's a pretty long story but it explains where you are wrong.

youtube, what the Dems said about WMDs in Iraq, before Bush was in office.

Keyword here, Before, because at that time he did have WMD's and they where later destroyed in an attempt to please the UN.

2/3s of our government, is controlled by the Democrats.

Huh, I would say only 1/3 is controlled by democrats.

requiring us to by a product, under threat of penalties

There is no question now that the health care system we created is Romney care, so don't go saying we did it. We wanted national health care but the Republicans cried socialism. So we got the 1993 Republican plan called the "Health Equity and Access Reform Today Act of 1993", look it up, word for word what we have today. So thank your Republicans for that one.

I'm getting tired of this can you maybe say one thing that makes sense so I don't have to point out this nonsense.
