The Westboro Baptist Church said Wednesday that it would picket the funeral of Grammy-winning singer Whitney Houston because she engaged “in sorceries.”
The 48-year-old singer, daughter of gospel legend Cissy Houston, had struggled in recent years to repair a once squeaky-clean image sullied by public battles with drugs and alcohol, erratic behavior, and botched performances, as well as by a rocky and sometimes violent marriage to R&B singer Bobby Brown.
She was found unconscious in her bathtub on Saturday afternoon at the Beverly Hilton hotel.

I don't wish anyone death but I almost wish a well known gangster wrapper would die just so these fools would try to picket the funeral. Could you imagine these white red-necks picketing at 50 cents funeral? Can you say "bust a cap in your a@#."

I think they are barking up the wrong tree. People in America LOVE celebrities and take offense to comments about dead celebrities very easily. Hope all the Westboro folks get beat to death (then we can picket their funerals). I'm not normally a violent person but in their case, make 'em bleed.

To even suggest that they would assemble at this time of mourning for Ms. Houston to further their agenda (which they really don't have) is insane. I am assured they would never get close though. As in the movie The Bodyguard, there would be plenty there, as police, to make sure these nutjobs would cause no disturbances or get close to those in mourning if they even dared try to follow through with their threat.

The WBC get off easy picketing mostly suburban, rural, white funerals (although the veterans' famlies and patriotic bikers gave them some good retaliation) but they ain't seen NOTHING YET when you get a bunch of greiving, black, urban people all riled up and upset.
And nobody will feel the least bit sorry for Shirley Phelps when the beat-down comes. It just might be the ass-kicking most of America will cheer for.

#4 - Thu Feb 16, 2012 1:52 PM ESTI have the same thought and hope it is true. Perhaps if these deviates at the church were shown a little black hospitality it would stop their insulting pickets or at least put them in the hospital where they can recant their own sins.
