There are over 800 ancient monuments on the North Yorkshire Moors, some dating back to the bronze age!  Druid stones were gathering places for pre-Christian communities, some monuments point the way on the Roman Road, built in AD59, some are gathering places for very early Christians.  Here a just a few of them.  They truly are ancient monuments. Still standing 2000 years later!
