New York Republican Juan Reyes is a state senate candidate in the Republican primaries taking place September 13. His opposition in this race is New York City councilman Eric Ulrich. Ulrich, according to Reyes, is much too comfortable with homosexuals to possible have a legitimate candidacy.

Below is the text accompanying a mailer Reyes has been spreading:

Dr. Jekyll, meet Mr. Ulrich.

When he first ran for city council, Eric Ulrich sent out mailings with photos of the Pope, to convince voters that he was a devout Catholic who would stand with conservatives on social issues.

But as soon as Ulrich was sworn in as Councilman, he was quickly seduced.

Ulrich began hobnobbing with the liberal Manhattan Democrats in the City Council, and quickly decided they were the “cool people” he really wanted to hang out with.

Ulrich and his wife became known as frequent dinner companions of an openly gay Democrat Councilman and his husband. No one cared about that.
