Chick-Fil-A today issued a statement seemingly contradictingpromises made in a legal real estate deal to re-examine and discontinue supporting anti-gay organizations. Yesterday, according to Chicago Alderman Joe Moreno, Chick-Fil-A’s senior director of real estate signed a letter of agreement to Moreno, stating:

“The WinShape Foundations is now taking a much closer look at the organizations it considers helping, and in that process will remain true to its stated philosophy of not supporting organizations with political agendas.”

Apparently, Chick-Fil-A’s senior director of real estate does not make corporate policy for Chick-Fil-A, and apparently, Chick-Fil-A does not understand that marriage is indeed a political issue.

Chick-Fil-A’s statement today indicates they will not be changing course and will continue to support anti-gay organizations.
