Whatever your own religious or spiritual leanings, you can likely agree that it’s valuable to know about other religions. After all, religions may be a significant part of the lives of our friends and family, and they have an unquestionable influence on the governments and politics of many countries. So how much do you know about world religions?

This quiz, courtesy of the Pew Forum, tackles questions about the core teachings, history, and leading figures of major world religions. It was originally administered as a 32-question telephone poll; of the original respondents, the average American got 16 of the 32 questions right, while atheists and agnostics scored best (averaging 20.9 correct answers), closely followed by Jewish and Mormon respondents (20.5 and 20.3 correct answers, respectively).
