Rep. Allen West (R-FL), who lost his re-election bid to Democratic challenger Patrick Murphy in November, recently compared himself to President Abraham Lincoln (audio below).

In an interview with NPR, West credited God's will for his loss and added that "Abraham Lincoln only served one term in Congress, too," reports Mediaite.com.
