Across the country, Tea Party rallies were held sponsored – mainly by the Koch funded, democracy subverting Americans For Prosperity outfit – in protest of tax day, but what struck me when I was reading up on them, were the reports of much smaller numbers, making me wonder if the Tea Party may have peaked in popularity.
In Oklahoma two years ago, 5,000 attended a rally outside the state's capitol. But on Friday less than 30 showed up. In Rochester, NY, over a thousand people rallied last year, but this year the tax day event was only attended by about 80 people. In Michigan, only around 400 rallied at the state capitol building.
